The photographs shown here are merely examples of what was achieved using the techniques and materials available at Burpengary Dental.  In no way do we guarantee that you will receive the exact same results because every individual patient will have different tooth structure and anatomy.

Tooth 43 had a leaking composite resin filling which was always unsightly. The old restoration was removed and the tooth was isolated so that the new filling sealed properly and the tooth was restored with a shade that was matched to the surrounding tooth structure.

Tooth 14 had an old composite resin restoration which was leaking at the edges and was also unsightly and caught a lot of food between his teeth when he would eat. There was also decay on the back of the tooth. The old filling was removed and the adjacent filling was shaped so that less food would catch.

Patient developed deep tooth brush abrasions (usually related to acids on the teeth and gingival recession followed by brushing the exposed root surface). These were becoming sensitive.

The teeth were prepared and the gingiva retracted. The teeth were restored using a composite resin of the same shade as the natural tooth structure.

Patient came in wanting a straighter smile and lower front teeth. The teeth had erupted so that they were different lengths.

The tooth 11 was dark and had been previously root treated. It is thought that trauma to the tooth or past chemicals form root canal treatment had led to the darkening of this tooth.

The tooth 43 was very long and the tooth 12 was very short.

Tooth 11 was bleached internally. Tooth 43 was trimmed shorter (this did not lead to any extra sensitivity) and tooth 12 was built up with composite resin.

The teeth 11 and 21 were trimmed shorter. Tooth 21 is a denture tooth.

Oral hygiene was improved and a lower partial removable denture was constructed.

Patient had a composite filling in tooth 17 that was wearing badly (as can be seen from the side view of the filling). The tooth 16 also had an old amalgam filling but the tooth had a crack in it.

The teeth 16 and 17 were restored with composite resin of a nicer shade and the new material used has a much lower wear rate.
